Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, evidence-based assessments to evaluate clients' mental health issues, formulate accurate clinical diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans to address specific challenges.

• Deliver therapeutic interventions through individual, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based modalities tailored to meet the unique goals of each client. This may include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques.

• Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in acute mental health situations, ensuring their immediate safety and well-being.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, including treatment plans and progress notes, in compliance with ethical and legal standards, while using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care for clients, sharing insights and treatment updates regularly.

• Facilitate psychoeducation sessions with clients and their families, addressing mental health issues, available treatment options, and community resources to empower families in their journeys.

• Commit to professional development by staying informed on best practices in mental health therapy through ongoing training, workshops, and participation in relevant conferences.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will encompass a diverse client base, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. You will be equipped to aid varied demographics within the Galveston community, contributing to positive client outcomes by adapting your approach based on each client’s personal history and cultural background.

Qualifications\n

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist in Texas (LMFT, LPC, LCSW).

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required.

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to synthesize information to create effective treatment strategies.

• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience is necessary, with a focus on therapeutic practice.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling productive collaborations with clients and interdisciplinary team members.

Preferred Experience\n

• Clinical experience in a variety of settings (outpatient preferred) is beneficial but not mandatory for entry-level roles.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 85,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a generous sign-on bonus.
